Rules
CQF has developed a standardized rule set to assess CQB skills in a competitive head-to-head environment. The rule set was developed with input from the special operations community and has been subjected to extensive testing over the last few years.
There are two fundamental force on force scenarios that underly every CQF competition - (1) is a room clearing scenario and (2) is a hostage rescue scenario. Each scenario is scored based on a combination of factors including objective completion, causalities and time. Levels of difficulty can be added by increasing the complexity of the building, decreasing time limits and increasing the number/movement of no-shoot targets.
The events are typically run in teams of 4 but can be scaled up or down depending on the event and venue - with teams competing directly against each other in a tournament style bracket.
Please contact CQF directly for more information about the current rule set.
Research
CQF gathers a variety of data in connection with its events including information on shoothouse locations, training vendors, contact lists and other training resources that are beneficial to active and former military/LEOs.
CQF's research is available to qualifying organizations.
